The MatildaMed Complications Course, launching 30th June 2025 !
As a registered nurse prescriber with a clinical background, I’ve seen firsthand how gaps in complications training can leave practitioners feeling unsure, anxious, or underprepared. Most courses either skim over the hard stuff or overwhelm you with jargon that doesn’t translate into real practice.
So I decided to build something better: a realistic, practical, and fully digestible course that gives you the clarity and structure you need to stay safe — and help your clients feel safe too.
This course is ideal for:
Newly qualified injectors looking to build confidence
Practitioners who’ve experienced complications and want clarity
Anyone who’s felt let down by vague or outdated complication training
Clinics that want to ensure their staff are prepared, compliant and capable
It’s a hands-on, thought-provoking training that covers:
✅ Immediate complications (vascular occlusion, anaphylaxis, bruising)
✅ Delayed issues (biofilm, granulomas, hypersensitivity, infections)
✅ Toxin-specific complications (ptosis, spocking, muscle imbalance)
✅ Sterile technique & emergency protocols
✅ Client communication & documentation
✅ Yellow Card reporting
✅ Anatomy-based risk awareness
✅ Prevention strategies that actually work
Plus, it includes interactive tasks, a learner test (to reinforce understanding), and a certificate issued upon successful completion.
This industry can feel incredibly isolating when something goes wrong. My mission is to create a space where learning from complications becomes part of professional growth, not something to fear or avoid.
By improving your knowledge, response time and prevention strategy, you’re protecting your clients, your licence, and your peace of mind.
The MatildaMed Complications Course launches on 30th June 2025.
If you’d like to be the first to know when it goes live, and secure a spot before general release, you can register your interest by emailing me at matildamedaesthetics@gmail.com

TikTok Mythology 22.07.2023
Welcome to the first post from the MatildaMed blog! Please bear with me whilst I find my creative writing feet...but this is something I've been discussing doing for a while now...and there's no time like the present!
If, like me, you find yourself in a 'TikTok hole' from time to time, you'll be no stranger to some of the weird and wonderful topics that appear on your FYP. With an worldwide audience at your fingertips, it's a great platform for sharing your views, to learn new skills or having a giggle to yourself when you can't sleep at 3 am! Equally however, all social media can be a source of misleading information which can falsely shape someones views.
Here's a stitch I did of a very beautiful lady's video where she talks about stopping all beauty treatments, which I can totally support... but with one little corrective interjection from myself - I like to be a source of truth for clients and injectors alike!
My TikTok posts have been sporadic to say the least... it's so hard to consistently run multiple social media pages am I right!? Drop me a follow on and I'll endeavour to post various pieces of content more frequently ranging from informative to comedic to action shots in the clinic.
