Anti-wrinkle injections use a naturally occurring protein known as botulinum toxin, that has been purified for safety and temporarily relaxes over active muscles. When the muscle is at rest, lines and wrinkles become less visible, and the skin appears smoother and more refreshed.
You will still be able to show a degree of expression - the aim is to look rested, not different.
There are a number of brand licensed in the UK and MatildaMed is confident in selecting and using each brand based on the anatomical requirements of the client, including Botox, Bocouture, Azzalure, Reflydess and Letybo.

At Initial Consultation:
We start with a full medical history to cover any potential interactions of safety issues as a result of past medical history or medication. It is really important to list ALL medical history and medication, even if you don't think it's relevant. We will then discuss your concerns, assess your facial movement and go through any pros/cons.
Treatment:
The injections themselves take around 10 minutes and are generally very comfortable, with no numbing agents required.
Results:
Initial softening from day 3–5
Full results by 10–14 days
Results typically last 3–4 months (varies from person to person)
A review appointment is offered at 2 weeks to assess your results and make any adjustments if needed.
Aftercare
Aftercare
To ensure the best results:
Avoid rubbing or massaging the treated area for 24 hours
Avoid exercise for 24 hours
Keep upright for 4 hours
Avoid sauna/steam rooms for 24–48 hours
Avoid alcohol or medications that may thin the blood

Please note that before treatment, a face to face medical consultation with myself is required as per regulatory guidance. If, following this, you are deemed medically suitable, your prescription can be ordered and will arrive within 12-24 hours depending on cut off times at the pharmacy.
